Description

The Sample Coordinator works under the direction of a Team Manager and is responsible for coordinating samples, timekeeping, and supply orders.  

Responsibilities Become familiar with the analyses for which analysts are responsible. Coordinate sample testing in accordance with procedures. Have understanding of Laboratory documentation. Notification to Operation Coordinator for Work Order entries or requests. Understand and use LIMS to receive, assign tests, and make comments as appropriate.   Authorize data as necessary. Manage lab hazardous waste receptacles by emptying, relining, or replacing waste containers as necessary (SAP).    Maintain the various sample reports and lists as appropriate requiring ongoing communication, completions, and authorization. Follow out of specification strategy, failing sample management document, and authorized exceptions documentation for all samples tested. Understand and use SAP transactions as required (QA33, EMIS, Timekeeping, Stores Ordering, Purchase Requisition, QA01) Ensure sufficient inventory of supplies/solutions/consumables for all lab areas. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Competent multi-tasker Strong organizational skills Impeccable customer service skills Professional and personable demeanor Calm during stressful situations Strong communication skills
