The Position

The position is located in the Lead Identification Department, within the Discovery unit of the pRED’s Large Molecules Research, where the discovery of next generation biotherapeutics is the primary focus. We closely collaborate with therapeutic areas and other functions to convert therapeutic hypotheses into innovative therapeutics.

Job mission

 We are offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Scientist (m/f/d) to work with a highly engaged team of molecular biology, biochemistry, and high throughput screening technology (HTS) specialists using state-of-the art methods. You will be responsible for screening and characterization of antibody-based therapeutic molecules as well as the implementation and optimization of novel single cell technologies in HTS setups.

Your profile

You hold a Ph.D.-level degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field

You have at least 3 years hands-on laboratory experience in single cell technologies including droplet-based microfluidic systems and next-generation sequencing (NGS) for high throughput screening  of antibodies in an industrial setting

Proficiency in advanced high-throughput screening techniques, including both biochemical and cell-based assays (e.g., ELISA, reporter gene assays) utilizing automated systems are your strengths

IT skills (MS Office, basic understanding of NGS sequence analysis, data handling of big data sets) are part of your skillset

You are able to accurately record and efficiently communicate scientific data and ideas in English (knowledge of the German language is not mandatory)

 This position is fixed-termed to two years.

Your final Scientific Career Ladder (SCL)-Title will be evaluated according to your individual scientific experience.
