Position Summary:

Registers, interprets and inputs physician's orders.  Interfaces with customers in a professional manner; answers questions and resolves minor problems.  Collects, receives and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.  Accesses insurance plans in relation to specimen testing appropriateness. 

Performs patient registrations, verifies accuracy of orders, specimen identifications, and insurance/referral requirements.  Routes specimens to appropriate CKHS entity or reference laboratory.

Performs duties in support of the Crozer-Keystone Health System and Hospital mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

This position serves the entire patient population.

Education and Training:  

High school diploma or equivalent, post- high school courses in a science related field. Knowledge of clinical laboratory terminology is required. Previous customer service experience preferred.

Experience:  

Previous Venipuncture experience

Two (2) years laboratory central processing 

Excellent customer relation’s skills required.

Registration, Licensure and/or Certification:

Driver’s license

3rd shift
10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
This position may require doing outreach registrations, and processing send out testing with a holiday commitment.
