Lab Support Technician - PRN - ACH
Job Description​

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s Anderson County Hospital is looking for a Lab Support Technician to support our lab team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform blood draws and process specimens. Our lab is a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team with diverse backgrounds and experience levels, which ensures our vision of being “The best place to get care. The best place to give care.” Is maintained. 

The Work: 

Collects patient samples in accordance with laboratory’s policy, procedures, and regulatory standards Documents receipt of patient samples in the LIS/EMRPerforms and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as requestedUses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections 

We are seeking a phlebotomist/lab support technician that is confident in their skills, patient focused, positive, and willing to go above and beyond for their patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for professionals who like to multi-task and stay busy, and able to adapt to rapidly changing laboratory workflow.

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
