Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You’ll Be Doing** + Conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests on building materials. + Recording and analyzing data to ensure quality standards are met. + Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment. + Set up and run concrete trial batches, sample and test aggregates from production facilities, customers and job sites. + Testing plastic and hardened concrete properties such as: slump, air content, unit weight, temperature, time of set and compressive strengths at various ages. **What Are We Looking For** + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software. + Effective communication skills. **Conditions of Employment** + Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. + Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. + ACI Field Testing Grade 1 certification preferred, but required within the first 6 months of employment + ACI Strength certification within one year + ACI Lab certification within first 2 years **Work Environment** + Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** + $35.49 per hour + Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension. **Req ID** JR10007648
