Become part of the lab team and Par Family. Reporting to the Lab Supervisor, you will be providing exemplary customer service to our clients.
Key activities include:
Actively Participation in a Team Environment. Training in Lab Specific Modules in accordance with a set qualification and progression path. Successfully complete and maintain qualifications in Gas Streams Subdivision. Successfully complete and maintain qualifications in Gas Bench Subdivision. Successfully complete and maintain qualifications in Jet Subdivision. Participate in all safety Training and attend all monthly lab safety meetings. Utilize highly technical equipment use such as: Automated Distillation Apparatus, Viscometers, Flash Point, Cloud/Pour Point, Densometers, VP Analyzer, pH, Ammonia analyzers. Analyze all intermediate process samples and finished tanks of various petroleum products. Maintain active Safety presence while working in a petroleum environment.Note: This description is intended to give you a general overview of the position and is not an exhaustive listing of duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To comply with the regulations at this work location, successful applicants must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). Additional qualifications include:
Minimum of two (2) years Vocational Technical or College training (science background preferred) Ability to lift 35lbs. Be self-motivated, independent (working with minimal supervision), able to multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment, strong work ethic, and be team oriented. Proficient with most MS programs - particularly MS Office Suite of products (Excel, Outlook, and Word) Job involves shift work, 24 hours/day and 7 days/week operation (including holidays). Laboratory Technicians will normally work an 8 or 10-hour shift of rotating day and swing shifts on a 4-week basis. Graveyard will be expected once qualified in 5 out of 6 lab subdivisions. Ability to work overtime is a requirement.

Pay Range:
$27.49-$41.23 per hour

Our Refineries and Logistics Operations
We own and operate refineries in Hawaii, Montana, Washington, and Wyoming, with total operating throughput capacity of over 218 Mbpd. Par Pacific owns and operates one of the largest energy networks in Hawaii with 94,000 bpd of operating refining capacity, a logistics system supplying the major islands of the state and 90 retail locations. In the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies, Par Pacific owns and operates 124,000 bpd of combined refining capacity, related multimodal logistics systems.

We own and operate 90 retail locations in Hawaii under the Hele and 76 brands and 33 retail locations in Washington and Idaho under the nomnom brand.
