A lab technician collects and analyzes various water samples, prescribes chemical additions to various systems based on analysis and guidelines established by the plant chemist. Prepares and performs required analysis and calculations on coal samples. Operates, calibrates and performs routine maintenance on chemical analysis instrumentation. Prepares chemical mixtures used for test applications; performs non-water analysis on equipment in and out of service as required; prepares and maintains necessary reports; and performs other tasks assigned. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without an accommodation.
RequirementsApplicant must have the following academic requirements and be able to provide school transcripts.
A "C" grade or better in each of the listed courses is required to satisfy the academic requirements. Prior experience in utility plant maintenance and instrumentation is helpful.Must have completed required courses (Examples are from University of Utah)
