Your Role:
The Laboratory Technician 2 in the Process Solutions Value Stream lab is responsible for executing activities related to support of existing products the contribute to the ongoing operations of the MilliporeSigma Integrated Supply Chain. You will be:
Test execution, authoring protocols and reports that provide documentation and comply with good documentation practicesProviding technical input on microbiological and virology testing design & execution within the Technology Advancement teamWorking with quality and technical leads to ensure project requirements are understood and delivered on timeExecuting filtration studies and performing viral and bacterial assays to evaluate product performanceContribute to method and equipment development and improvement projects, new technology and equipment evaluation, method validation, and trainingInteract with cross-functionally with multiple groups to aid in product/process change requests, raw material qualifications and customer applicationsContribute to data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement projects

Minimum Qualifications:
OR
Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in laboratory practices, techniques, equipment, materials, and mathematical calculationsProficiency in aseptic techniques and microbiological methodsExperience with mammalian cell culture, viral and bacterial assay methodsTeam orientated but with demonstrated ability to work independentlyStrong organizational and excellent communication skillsUnderstanding of quality principles including ISO, quality management systems, Good Documentation PracticesSkilled in using Microsoft applications including data manipulation and statistics in Excel
