Job Description
This position involves assisting with the isolation of primary cells from human umbilical cord and managing their routine culture. The role also includes supporting cell culture of primary cells from liver and kidney tissue samples, maintaining detailed laboratory records, equipment, and inventory according to procedures, and adapting to changing experimental needs.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain expansion cultures of adherent primary endothelial, liver, and kidney cells, including plating activities, routine media changes, passaging cells for expansion, and creating cryopreserved stocks.Record and maintain data in accordance with protocols.Aseptically prepare solutions and supplies required for isolation and culture activities.Handle and dispose of biohazardous materials safely.Maintain the research suite by disinfecting incubators, floors, and work surfaces.Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.Assist senior staff with research and development experimental protocols.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in life sciencesPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
