Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in preparing and testing samples, ensuring data traceability throughout the testing lifecycle, and supporting engineering supervisors with sample test plans. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with our R&D team and gain visibility and exposure to a variety of techniques in a smaller, collaborative setting.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare test samples by inventorying and labeling in-process and finished samples for traceability.Sand and polish samples, perform cross-sections for measurement and evaluation.Prepare test plan templates for engineering supervisor review.Organize and track samples sent out for imaging using techniques such as CSAM and SEM.Communicate test results, observations, images, and test data to engineering supervisors.Conduct testing using Keyence imaging, optical microscope imaging, thermal profile testing, and electrical resistance measurement.Perform thermal shock tests and measure test dimensions.Support Applications Engineers in the test sample compaction process and be trained as a backup for compaction processes.Prepare test boards as needed, including cleaning, cutting to size, mounting stencils, and mounting boards for processing.Enter process conditions into databases accurately.Essential SkillsMaterials testing experience, particularly with metals.Laboratory experience with a focus on chemistry and quality control.Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and Word.1+ years of industry experience in a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsHands-on approach with good time management skills.Attention to detail, organized, and collaborative.Flexible and self-motivated.Degree in Chemistry or related field highly desired.Work Environment
You will be supporting R&D and potentially assisting production in a small site consisting of 20 people. You will work daily with a team of 2-6 individuals. The company culture is supportive, providing more visibility and exposure to acquire new experiences and techniques.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
