**Laboratory Technician** Kalamazoo, MI 49007 $18-$21/hour – depending on experience. 8-hour shift Monday thru Friday **Why work for Adecco:** + Weekly Pay, every FRIDAY + Benefits Available + Amazing Customer Service **Responsibilities:** + Glass Wash- Contact facilities to clean dirty utensils in Autoclave. + Perform daily/weekly cleaning task at personal workstation and throughout the laboratory (lab). + Manage in-stock materials and re-order lab supplies through Kanban system. + Process samples and plates in the lab using LIMS Software. + Plating blood, hair, and Allflex samples that includes processing samples into 96-well plates. + Identify issues with customer order submissions post processing customer samples, which could be extra, not received, or unable to test samples. + Pulling/processing retest samples by locating samples that need to be reprocessed through the lab. + Buffer each Allflex sample that needs to be removed prior to extraction as this buffer must be removed with a pipette. + Load blood and hair samples with buffer and load the 96-well plates on Thermocyclers when processing is complete as these samples need to go through a digestion stage prior to extraction. + Blotting blood from EDTA Tube as requested by customers that includes pipetting blood from the EDTA tube onto an approved collector, then return the new sample and paperwork Order Entry upon the sample being dry. + Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), which can be found in the Veeva Vault system. + Complete all training and learning requirements of the client in their Learning Management System (LMS) Software. + Knowledge of various software to accurately perform duties that includes but is not limited to lab information (I.E Aging List, Metrics, etc.), track locations of job, samples, and plates, GeneSys (all sample info). + Record equipment data on the environmental logs. **Education/Experience:** + One year or more working a lab environment. + H.S. Diploma required. 1-2 years of college in a science related field preferred. + Attention to detail. + Verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to listen, observe, and respond to ensure understanding within the department. **Pay Details:** $18.00 to $21.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
