Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, testing, and measuring samples, as well as supporting applications engineers and entering data into databases. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a close-knit team, providing visibility and exposure to a variety of techniques. Responsibilities + Prepare test samples by inventorying, labeling, sanding, and polishing. + Perform cross-sections for measurement and evaluation. + Prepare sample test plans for review by engineering supervisors. + Organize and track samples sent out for imaging (CSAM, SEM, etc.). + Communicate test results, observations, images, and test data to engineering supervisors. + Perform various tests including Keyence imaging, optical microscope imaging, thermal profile testing (outgas/reflow testing), electrical resistance measurement, thermal shock, and strength tests. + Measure test dimensions accurately. + Support applications engineers in the test sample compaction process and serve as a backup for this process. + Prepare test boards by cleaning, cutting to size, mounting stencils, and mounting boards for processing. + Enter process conditions data into databases. Essential Skills + Experience in materials testing and working with metals. + Experience in quality control and laboratory procedures. + Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Excel and Word. + Hands-on experience with good time management skills. + Attention to detail, organizational skills, and collaborative nature. + Flexibility and self-motivation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1+ years of industry experience in a related field. + Degree in Chemistry or a related field is highly desired. Work Environment The lab technician will support R&D and potentially assist production in a small site with a total of 20 people. On a day-to-day basis, you will work with 2-6 team members. This environment provides a good culture with more visibility and exposure to acquire new experiences and techniques. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
