Job DescriptionAD Procerta is an independent label testing institute under the umbrella of Avery Dennison, a market leader in pressure sensitive labels. AD Procerta is offering label material testing to external customers, such as pharmaceutical and automotive companies. AD Procerta is aiming to provide its customers with high quality results while respecting each customer’s testing needs and maintaining short reporting times. Each request is tailor-made to suit our customer’s needs, and thus no request is the same.
To continue our success we are looking for an enthusiastic Lab Technician to join the AD Procerta team.
The Lab Technician will be responsible not only for performing the tests, but also for helping the AD Procerta maintain and expand its accreditation. He / she is expected to help the lab and the quality manager with various lab related tasks, ensure that the calibration of equipment and the intermediate checks are performed on time, and work on the validation of new test methods. Additionally, he / she is expected to participate in the yearly audits, in order to maintain our accreditation.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Plan the testing and report within deadlines
Prepare sample material according to specifications in order to test the properties of these materials
Perform the requested tests according to our ISO/IEC 17025 quality system
Interpret and report data and other information of tests to the technical manager
Calibrate and maintain (small repairs and cleaning) of the equipment in order to generate high quality data
Help with the validation and implementation of new tests and methods
Write Standard Operating Procedures
Follow the processes of our Quality System and signal potential issues
Fill in the QC charts and observe / report trends - investigate possible causes
Follow safety and quality procedures, observe bottlenecks, make suggestions for improvement in order to secure the safety for oneself, staff and visitors and aim for a higher safety, quality and client satisfaction
QualificationsMLO/HLO in a relevant science field or equivalent experience
Work experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 or GLP accredited laboratory preferred
Prior experience in our (or adjacent) industry is an advantage
Able to work independently with minimum supervision, after the completion of the training
Living within an acceptable commutable distance of the laboratory, as this role is full-time on site
High level of accuracy
Well-organized / Good time-planning skills / Good in multitasking
Service oriented attitude
Proactive approach
Good communication skills
Motivated, enthusiastic, and a good team player
Basic computer skills (familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet programs)
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
