Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Winemaker and Winery Operations Manager, the Lab Technician is responsible for the execution of the winery laboratory by providing up to date, accurate chemical and microbiological analysis necessary for the quality control of all wines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinates with the Winemaking Team to develop consistently accurate and efficient lab practices.Perform all required analysis/standardization in accordance with established SOPs and good Laboratory practices.Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on all laboratory equipment including scheduling yearly preventative maintenance.Samples barrel lots for tastings, analysis and bench top trials.Complete analyses on all grapes and wine samples as requested. Be able to interpret analysis and make recommendations to winemaking team.Maintain a clean and organized lab.Monitor stock of all the lab supplies and order as necessary.Qualifications
Years of Experience: One or more years' experience working on a wine production team.Education: B.S. degree in Enology, Food Science, Biology or related degree.Desire to become part of a team dedicated to crafting fine wines.Willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary especially during harvest.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.Strong attention to detail.Proficient with Windows and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
