Job Description

Position Overview:

This task-oriented position optimizes the use of laboratory equipment and resources to provide test data to internal and external customers.  The position follows procedures, ensures accuracy in testing, and reports results in support of the Manchester R&D team, the Corporate Quality team, Commercial teams and all production facilities.  Ability to clearly identify potential issues during testing of samples and notes as such in the data report.  Understands safety and quality.  Receives hands on learning of test equipment, systems, processes and materials.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 

Understand and comply with all safety rules and guidelines in accordance with Amcor’s safety requirements, programs, and initiatives. Able to perform testing, verify results, and document product quality through defined work instructions and testing procedures under limited supervision.Compile accurate data and communicate test results.Conduct scheduled audits for Safety, GMP and HACCP.Perform data peer reviews.Conduct equipment validations.Meet timelines and deliver on aggressive schedule and work assignments.Participate in continuous improvement.Participate in the writing of policies and procedures as related to departmental capabilities, technology, equipment, systems and training.

Qualifications:

Education:  High School Diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.Requires 1-3 years of experience in a quality lab environment or relevant academic experience.Understand metrology and basic statistics.Organize work in best sequence.Work with high precision and detail.Proficient computer skills including Microsoft ExcelExperience with data reports
