DuPont has immediate openings for experienced Production Operators in the Model Shop production facility within the Engineering Department at our Marlborough, MA site.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION ​

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:​

Follows all safety, HR (human resources), site, work area, and attendance policiesSets-up chemical mix equipment, including tanks, piping, tubing, pumps, filters and mixers for small volume (1-50 gal) manufacturing and customer sample batchesAssembles small scale (1-13 gal) laboratory equipment (pumps, Teflon tubing, capsule filters, compression fittings) in order to perform various process stepsFollows manufacturing procedures and instructions for weighing, mixing and sampling chemical products; handles chemicals safely while wearing PPEFilters chemical products using pumps and in-line filtersObserves batch manufacturing, monitors gauges, flow rates.  Documents progress on batch sheetsPerforms some tests on product to ensure conformance with specifications, using standard test equipment, materials, and proceduresDelivers samples to various testing areasExecutes small scale experiments directed by Engineering for the development of new Micro Electronic products. Executes small scale experiments directed by Engineering for the development of new manufacturing processes such as filtration and ion exchangeCollects and tabulates data accurately and thoroughlyWrites procedures, Job Aids, and performs MOC (Management of Change)Responsible for managing projects related to Model Shop processes and equipment that include collaboration with other groups, documenting progress, finding solutions, gathering dataDocuments work clearly and promptly in various media and applications Uses mechanical skills to understand why and how to operate equipmentUses a forklift to transport chemicals to and from work area

This position requires a 12 hour day shift which includes Saturday and Sunday, alternating 4 and 3 day work weeks (training for this position is during Mon-Fri 8.5hr day shift), with occasional overtime as required, including day and time may vary.

Your qualifications profile:

Required:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a production environment, 4 or more years preferredMust be flexible with respect to daily tasksMust be adaptable to the safety, quality, costs, and processes associated with daily tasksMust be able to work well with peers, engineers, scientists, all functional groupsMust have good basic math skills including some algebraMust have good oral and written communications skillsMust be able to lift 40 lbsMust be computer literate (basic skills in Word and Excel)Must be willing and able to learn new skills and own new responsibilities

Preferred but not a must:

Experience handling chemicals, ingredients, or materials
