Lab Technician - Velva, ND
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position is night shift as well as days. Must be able to work both as needed.Process and finished product testing, including check sample/qc sample and calibration standards for instrumentsUse of lab instruments and minor Instrument preventative maintenance, calibration and verificationReporting out of specification results to management and/or operationsStorage of shipment retains shipping of customer and referee samplesReports Food Safety concerns to Food Safety Representative and plant managementMay assume QC Manager responsibilities in their absenceQualifications include education and laboratory trainingIn addition to the job tasks listed above:Will retain the skills/knowledge quickly, able to be on their feet a good amount of time throughout the dayShould be able to lift 50 poundsGeneral computer skills along with knowledge/experience with Word & Excel (our lab software is specific to our location but similar to working with Excel)Some background or lab experience preferred by not necessarily requiredWill show up on time and every day they are scheduledIs not afraid to get a little dirtyGets along with others and able to take direction and communicate with feedbackNot afraid to ask questionsHandles equipment / instruments / glassware with care and keeps tidyAble to multi-task.
