The duties include receiving and preparing blood, urine, and fecal samples for in-house laboratory analysis, sending them to outside laboratories as needed, recording data into the medical record, cleaning equipment after use, restocking supplies, and assisting with other veterinary and pharmacy-related tasks.Detailed List of Duties and Responsibilities:Receiving, labeling, and safely storing samples for testing, both in-house and externalPerforming diagnostic tests (CBC, Chemistries, PCV, TP) and reporting results to the DVM and uploading them into our EMR systemSample and diagnostic test prioritization by case urgency and severity Organizing and storing samples to ensure the safety of personnel and the integrity of the sampleCleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibrating when neededMaintaining equipment records and daily work logsPreparing, caring for, and disposing of tissue specimens for laboratory analysisSupporting other departments such as radiology and pharmacy as neededCleaning and restocking the lab and pharmacy area, organizing supplies in designated locationsFilling prescriptions and assisting with weekend pharmacy duties, including label creation (if applicable)Preparing samples for shipping to various departmentsPerforming radiology stocking and cleanliness, and assisting with animal handling as neededAssisting with inventory management by providing updates for supply orderingSchedule: Full-time with rotating weekends.
