The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies. Our in-vitro Diagnostic Assay manufacturing site in Dundee has an exciting opportunity for a Labelling Officer to join the Dundee Labelling department and contribute to our mission of safely ensuring the on-time delivery of production labels which conforms to current best practices and Quality standards.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for inspection of new labelling matter (new label design, IFUs and artwork)Complete quality documentation as per GMP requirementsBe able to operate Labelling EquipmentActively seek out and contribute to continuous improvements activitiesAccurately control labelling stockMaintenance and monitoring of labelling equipment (i.e. Printers / cameras), to ensure optimal performanceConduct all activities in accordance with the Abbott Dundee Health & Safety culture

Working hours: Monday-Friday shift pattern (2 weeks early shift/2 weeks late shift)

Required Qualifications / Profile

Knowledge of Labelling programs and associated software ensuring version controlKnowledge of GMP Processes and proceduresNat 4 or equivalent in English, maths or equivalent experience to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skillsExperienced in set up and maintenance of labelling equipmentKnowledge of fault finding on various types of equipmentExperience in using ERP system for labelling stock controlsDriven and committed to meet customer performance and deliveryAn ability to communicate effectively to a wide audience and accept and follow up on the views and opinions of othersAttention to detail
