Labor & Employment Associate Attorney
Location: Silicon Valley, CA
Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their growing Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group in their Silicon Valley (Palo Alto) office.
Candidate Profile: JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Bar Admission in California. 4+ years of substantive experience in employment litigation, with a desire for arbitration and trial work. Meaningful experience in transactional employment work, such as drafting employment and severance agreements, EEOC position statements, and DFEH responses. Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, and assisting clients with employment training programs. Skilled at conducting witness interviews and depositions. Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: Represent employers in employment litigation, including arbitration and trial proceedings. Draft employer policies, agreements, and responses to regulatory agencies such as EEOC and DFEH. Conduct witness interviews, manage discovery processes, and prepare for depositions. Counsel clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. Collaborate with a talented team of attorneys while managing responsibilities independently. The firm offers a competitive compensation package, with a target annual pay of $275,000, dependent upon experience, skill sets, market factors, and business needs, among other considerations.
