The distribution Piece Rate worker's primary duty is to perform a variety of tasks within the distribution center that support the ability of the facility to fill and ship customer orders that meet customer requirements.  

This position requires an individual who is willing to transfer between jobs on an as needed basis.

This position is responsible for performing tasks that support the production requirements for assigned location.

Must be dependable and arrive to work on time and follow attendance policy

Picker/Packer/Stocker

Picks and /or packs or stocks product to be shipped to customers using a radio frequency (RF) hand held device.Must maintain 100% efficiency performanceEnsures product is picked and/or packed or stocked timely and with a high level of quality.Transfers to other functions within the DC as directed by the supervisor on an as needed basis.Observes all safety and work guidelines.Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Education/ Experience-High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Must be able to read shipping labels that are printed in EnglishMust be able to follow written and verbal instructionsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust have good quality and good attendance

Physical Demands

Overhead reaching and lifting requiredBending, standing, stooping, pushing and pulling for entire shiftMust be able to carry up to 35 -50 pounds consistently

May work around equipment, such as conveyors and rolling stock, which could contain hazards.  Other exposures found in a distribution center such as high level of noise and dust may exist for this position.

HIGHBAY LIFT OPERATOR

The primary function of the High Bay Operator is to stock storage racks and remove product from rack as needed to ensure product is accessible in the distribution center.

 Job Description

Palletize freight, manually load/unload boxes.Operates forklift / high-bay to load and unload freight and manually sorts as neededResponsible for putting cartons into and removing from storage racks that are up to 40 feet high.Operate high bay in a safe and efficient mannerPerform daily inspections of highbay and change battery as needed.Cross Train in picking, stocking, shipping, truck load and unloading palletize other areas are needed.

Education/ Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Must be able to pass a written and driving high bay operator testMust be able to read pertinent information in English on a RF device and cartonsMust have a high regard for quality and attendanceAble to safely and efficiently operate a pallet jack and/or forklift.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 50 or more pounds consistentlyMust be able to bend, reach above shoulders, push, pull, stoop consistentlyMust be able to grasp boxes, bags, garments and tools required for each jobContinuous standing requiredMust be able to work from a platform that reaches 40 feet highSteel toe shoes required
