The Labor Relations and HR Compliance Senior Specialist serves as a key technical resource to support the labor relations and human resources compliance strategy for the organization. Under the direction of the Director of Labor Relations and HR Compliance, the senior specialist is responsible for the following job duties and responsibilities:
Advises and assists employers such as Regions Hospital, Capitol View Transitional Care Center (CVTCC) and RHSC Inc. on labor relations issues, union collective bargaining agreement interpretation and collective bargaining negotiations. Responsible for overseeing, facilitating, and responding to grievance processes. Assists, recommends, and maintains human resources standard compliance and policies related to Joint Commission, CMS, Department of Health, CARF, College of American Pathologists (CAP) and other regulatory bodies. Serves as the strategic HR Business Partner by designing and driving HR strategies to support people, health and stewardship goals and by conducting workplace issue investigations. Partners with union representatives, the hospital’s legal counsel and labor attorneys addressing collective bargaining agreement related issues and colleague issues. Acts as a resource for leaders and colleagues’ questions regarding collective bargaining, labor relations and human resources issues. Is a member of the Human Resources leadership team and participates in leadership meetings. Engages in other human resources activities as assigned.FTE: 1.0; 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional Human Resources experience Previous experience with labor relations in a union and non-union environment Previous experience in a hospital regulatory compliance/Joint Commission environmentSalary Range: $100,000-$125,000/Annually
