Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing- North Central is seeking a Laboratory Analyst with previous experience and exposure to Organic extractions and preparation. 

The Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins' Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s.

Organic Extraction Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Demonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityApplies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:

Preparation of samples using standard techniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine instrument maintenanceResponsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins EHS and QA standardsResponsible for general housekeeping in his/her work areaAbility to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.Works under close supervision using routine and standard methodsAliquots and weighs samplesWashes glasswareConducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and conceptsAbility to complete work within time and quality constraintsCan work independently following written or verbal instructionsCooperate and coordinate both orally and in writingAble to follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines:Previous experience with Organic preparation, Metals preparation and analysisGas Chromatography/Mass SpectrometryRadio Chemistry or Wet ChemistryHigh Resolution preparation and analysis or Low-Resolution preparation and analysis

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

BS or BA in chemistry or related field preferred but not requiredLaboratory experience is a plusPrevious production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Sunday- Wednesday, Saturday- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM 

Schedule can also be Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday For 2nd shift positions, you will train Monday – Friday on 1st shift, before moving to 2nd shift.  

Pay range: $17.75 starting base pay range + 10% shift differential when working 2nd shift.

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business section, and geographic location.
