The Laboratory Analyst carries out, in shift, chemical and physical tests on petrochemical raw materials, in-process streams and finished products. In day job, they perform non-routine tests, validation of laboratory instruments and equipment and preparation of chemicals in the Manufacturing Laboratory.
What’s the role?
Your responsibilities as a Laboratory Analyst includes:
Carrying Out testing of all types of samples that are received in the laboratoryEnsuring proper recording and/or recording test results of samples in the worksheets and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)Ensuring that the samples received are properly recorded and labelled and the tests that are carried out as efficiently as possibleTaking appropriate actions on test results where necessarypreparing chemical reagents where necessaryAssists in the test methods optimization and updates where necessaryCarries out non-routine investigative analysis where requiredKeeps up to date with the latest test methods and techniques with the installation of new and more sophisticated equipmentAssisting in the calibration and maintenance of instrumentsSetting up and monitoring of statistical quality checks of test methods and instrumentsOverall housekeeping during shift, sample bottles and containers cleanliness and disposalTaking charge of various gas supplies used by the LaboratoryLiaises with third party representatives (independent laboratories) on test results of samplesAssisting in the on-the job training of new Analysts in the shiftHaving a working knowledge of SQL*LIMS system of all the necessary activities on such as receipt of samples, keying in test data and authorizing resultsIf you don’t see yourself reflected in the job requirements on the posting above, we still encourage you to reach out and apply. (“CAPGC”), a joint venture company between Chandra Asri Capital Pte. Ltd. and Glencore Asian Holdings Pte. Ltd (the “Transaction”). The Transaction will transfer all of Shell’s interest in the SECP Business to CAPGC. Subject to regulatory approval, the Transaction is expected to complete by the end of 2024. This position is part of the in-scope SECP Business and while the employing entity may initially be SGOP, a successful candidate’s employment contract will subsequently be transferred to Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. (“ACE”) to facilitate the Transaction. From completion of the Transaction, ACE will cease to be a Shell group company and will be owned by CAPGC.
Specific details relating to the impact on relevant employees supporting the SECP Business and timeline relating to the change of employing entities, will be shared with the successful candidate.
