Role Overview

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our Laboratory team. In this role, you will play a critical part in conducting comprehensive laboratory analysis of coal samples, ensuring accuracy and reliability in results. You will work closely with the Laboratory Supervisor and other team members to maintain the highest quality standards and contribute to our mission of excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Laboratory Analysis: Perform detailed testing on coal samples, including proximate, gross calorific value, ultimate analysis, and sulfur content. Ensure all analyses meet quality and industry standards. Data Management: Accurately calculate, record, and verify test results, maintaining meticulous records. Create and sign laboratory test reports to ensure traceability. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the QA/QC program, conduct necessary tests, and implement corrective actions to guarantee the quality of all test results. Equipment Maintenance: Regularly calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure precise and reliable performance. Operational Support: Assist in maintaining smooth laboratory operations by managing test schedules, sample collection, and timely reporting. Compliance & Safety: Follow safety protocols and company policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laboratory management systems, including PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards. Efficient Workflow: Organize laboratory tasks to accommodate tight schedules, especially during high-demand periods such as pre-vessel shipment checks.

 

Qualifications

 

Education: BS in Chemistry with a Professional License Experience: Minimum of 6 months of continuous experience in laboratory testing, preferably in a coal analysis setting. Training: Familiarity with Codes of Ethics, HR Policies, QHSSE Induction, Laboratory Management Systems, and PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage confidential information with integrity
