ATI Millersburg is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our Solids group in our Millersburg, Oregon Production Lab. The person in this role will report to the Area Manager and work in conjunction with other laboratory leaders to facilitate various laboratory needs. This is a dayshift position, currently working 8:00 am 4:00 pm. Relocation assistance is available. The Lab Analyst will primarily perform tasks in the Sample Receiving area where incoming samples are processed and prepared for release to testing groups of the lab. The Lab Analyst will also perform analysis on metal samples using various instrumentation and methods to make sure our alloys are meeting customer specifications. In order to become successful, you will have to quickly grasp ATIs processes, work collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders, be flexible in mindset, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment while at all times working safely. Attention to detail, excellentcommunication skills (verbal and written), exceptional interpersonal skills and being mechanically inclined are included in the skillset of a successful Lab Analyst. Responsibilities: + Preparing and testing samples per written test procedures + Adhering to documented standards to complete tasks and working with team to create or improve documented standards where appropriate + Using technical skills and background to identify problems and implement effective solutions + Prioritizing incoming work according to established procedures + Facilitating the flow of samples through Sample Receiving to subsequent testing areas + Operating milling machines, power shears, and hand shears, to process samples to the appropriate size, shape, and mass for downstream testing + Implementing good lab practices to ensure samples meet quality requirements + Prioritizing work according to established procedures + Maintaining, calibrating, and operating various laboratory instruments. + Accurately reporting data in accordance with ATIs Integrated Business Management System + Performing related tasks that support the accomplishment of primary testing tasks
