Under the direction of the Supervisor the lab assistant is responsible for support functions preanalytical processing preparing specimens to send to appropriate reference laboratories and accessioning registration functionsAs a Laboratory Assistant for the Special Heme department you are play a vital role in keeping the laboratory together you are essentially the missing piece to the puzzle in the department Each day is never the same As the laboratory is constantly developing and producing a higher workload so will your tasks You will work together with a team of amazing techs that are doing complex testing in order to provide results to ordering providers in an efficient manner There will be tasks that are done daily such as stocking laboratory supplies and accessioning as well as tasks that are completed as necessary such as reagents There may also new tasks that are created due to the increase in workflow Flexibility is key Laboratory experience is important because it allows you
