Coordinates the day to day operation of phlebotomy and specimen receiving to ensure all client needs are met.Coordinates the training of all new employees, ensuring the new employee checklist is completed in a timely manner.Can perform all functions of Technical Assistant.Performs registration and billing functions for all patient types.Demonstrates knowledge of computer functions required to receive, process, distribute and track all types of specimens.Accurately orders laboratory test for all types of patients.Dispatches, logs and tracks calls for client specimen pickup.Pick up specimens collected at all clients; perform the duties of a lab courier as needed.Fills supplies for clients within a reasonable turn-around time.Assist with restocking supplies in the stockroom.Reports any shortages to necessary personnel
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent.
Experience: At least three (3) years phlebotomy experience and two (2) years SVHS Laboratory experience.
