Job Description
The Assay Development and Characterization ADC team is responsible for developing and optimizing various assay platforms to identify and characterize hits, actives, leads, and construct performance. As part of the ADC team, the Research Assistant will perform general laboratory operations tasks and provide support with experimental execution at the direction of laboratory and/or project leads.
ResponsibilitiesPerform duties with regard to the company's safety practices and procedures.Work both independently and as part of a team.Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment in accordance with laboratory standards.Perform molecular biology techniques such as plasmid preparations, quantification, and digestion.Assist in plant assays, including sampling, culture maintenance, and plant care.Work comfortably in controlled environments to perform various plant care tasks.Utilize lab instruments to analyze samples and record results with precision and attention to detail.Perform lab duties with regard to sterile technique.Essential SkillsProficiency in molecular biology techniques such as plasmid preparations, quantification, and digestion.Experience with plant assays, including sampling, culture maintenance, and plant care.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail in recording and analyzing sample results.Adherence to safety practices and sterile techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree (2-year) required.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional 7:00 AM start times. The role involves working in controlled environments, maintaining laboratory standards, and adhering to safety practices.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
