Your Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Glasgow team.  In this role, you will perform a variety of routine tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of our lab. This includes housekeeping, preparing reagents, managing stock, and maintaining equipment. Building good working relationships with your colleagues in support services and the laboratory team will be key to your success. Some of your key responsibilities include:

 

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance regulations to complete routine tasks on time and accurately.Prepare and maintain stock solutions and reagents for laboratory use.Manage stock control and order supplies through our procurement system.Carry out housekeeping and equipment checks to ensure the lab meets compliance standards.Perform environmental and personnel monitoring activities, updating electronic records promptly.Keep the laboratory clean, tidy, and safe.

Who You Are:

Previous experience in a laboratory environment is a plus but not essential; we welcome school leavers and those new to the field.Computer literate with basic data entry skills.Ability to complete documentation neatly and accurately, both handwritten and electronic.A keen attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
