Laboratory Information Systems Analyst

SUMMARY

The position's responsibilities include, but are not limited to building, testing and maintaining Soft instrumentation interfaces, reference laboratory interfaces, and Soft modules. Coordinates, tests, and maintains Soft system upgrades. Is responsible for administrating and troubleshooting Soft LIS. Works on projects as needed. Participates in a rotating 24/7 by 365 on-call schedule.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferredMed Tech certification or equivalent experience preferred 1-3 years of experience in working with a lab system preferred Experience with Hospital Information Systems preferred. Knowledge of advanced logic and system thinking to solve a variety of complex problems. Experience in problem evaluation and resolution. Ability to demonstrate and establish good working relationships Strong planning skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills sufficient to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse workforce and staff of varying technical expertise. Proficient with a lab system Excellent customer service skills Ability to present and discuss task, project and status information to management, the department and also to other departments within the organization. Ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the Soft Laboratory Information System, Haemonetics Safetrace TX Blood Bank System, Sunquest Powerpath System and it's interfacing with instrumentation, outside vendors and third party system information systems.Perform daily maintenance on systems. Including updating data dictionaries, reviewing system error logs, maintaining and building reports. Monitoring critical system functions such as test orders, reporting, faxing, interfaces, backup notifications and hardware.Resolving Remedy reported issues as well as direct customer reported issues. Special Projects requiring knowledge of the LIS systems. Includes software upgrades and patches to LIS systems. Validation of impact to upstream and downstream application changes.Validate and test changes in Care Connect and other systems as to the impact on LIS systems.Review and test all Software and hardware changes.

PAY RANGE:

$60,500.00 - $82,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
