Job Overview:
This position serves as a laboratory liaison for a diverse range of customers receiving services from TriHealth. The role demands resourcefulness, teamwork, and comprehensive knowledge of hospital services. Key responsibilities include proper labeling, aliquoting, packaging, and tracking of specimens throughout the TriHealth Laboratory system and dispatching them to the appropriate referral laboratory. Additional duties involve handling telephone calls to/from customers to provide diagnostic laboratory services, gather necessary data for service and billing, answer questions, and resolve issues. The role also entails completing paperwork to meet compliance guidelines set by the OIG, accurately interpreting and transcribing physician orders, and LIS/HIS order entry. The position requires procuring quality specimens from adult, geriatric, pediatric, and infant patients for diagnostic testing according to CLIA, JCAHO, and CAP guidelines.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Degree or GED Training: Formal Phlebotomy training and Phlebotomy Certification Knowledge: Laboratory terminology, specimen handling, data entry, Windows software, HIS, and LIS Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a hospital lab settingJob Responsibilities:
