Job Title: Laboratory Production Scheduler
Job Description

The Production Scheduler is responsible for the appropriate scheduling of production processes to ensure adequate inventory is available to satisfy customer demands. They ensure the distribution of products is completed in a timely, effective, and efficient manner. This position interfaces with Customer Service, Marketing, Production, Quality Control and Sales to review back-order status, prioritize production orders and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling. The role involves working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. You will receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain planning data to include bills of material, routings, inventory records, lead times, and operations.Plan, schedule, coordinate and provide final approval of products through the production cycle.Develop major product group production plans for all distribution inventory based on sales and forecast and control the level of distribution (finished goods) inventory.Coordinate production plans for distribution stock to ensure materials are provided according to schedules to maintain production and provide input to Senior Management.Plan and schedule production orders, manage back-order releases, capacity planning, and monitoring of the Master Schedule.Interface with Customer Service, Marketing, Production, Quality Control, and Sales departments to review back-order status, prioritize production orders, and address potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.Participate in the strategic and tactical business planning process and generate the Master Schedule to execute accordingly.Detect significant deviations from the production plan and initiate corrective action.Essential SkillsExperience in production planning, SAP, ERP, supply chain, and schedule planning.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience in production, manufacturing, inventory, and logistics.At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.Bachelor's Degree (candidates with an Associate's Degree may be considered).Experience with Oracle, planning, inventory management, data entry, and dispatch.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical skills.Excellent communication skills to interface with various departments.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Work Environment

Normal office environment. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office with flexible hours, Monday through Friday. The first three weeks of training will be onsite, possibly less time. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness. Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds. Mobility to occasionally alternate between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.25/hr.
