Laboratory Research Technician
The University of Pittsburgh’s Renal-Electrolyte Division is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to perform laboratory experiments, sample analysis, as well as maintaining equipment.

Duties will include:

General maintenance of the lab including biological waste collection.Clean/maintain metabolic cages.Order supplies.Retrieve and return mice to the animal facility.Make up stock solutions.Maintain cultured cells.Maintain and genotype mouse colonies.Section, mount and stain paraffin and frozen tissue samples.Assist the lab faculty with their various experiments.

We encourage candidates with combination of education and experience as well as possess problem-solving skills and ability to exercise judgement in a variety of situations, but will be under the direct supervision of the PI.
