The Department of Bioengineering is seeking a Laboratory Research Technician I. Incumbent will perform laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Incumbent will also operate and properly sterilize equipment and maintain inventory and assist with ordering.
Key responsibilities: Working with cell culture, small animals and performing scientific research. The incumbent will be responsible for tasks related to the execution and analysis of labresearch. Tasks could include, but are not limited to, performing laboratory procedures, developing materials, managing data collection, data input, evaluation and analysis, writing reports and articles, giving presentations, and participating in the design and planning of tasks and experiments. Incumbent will also manage equipment, and inventory (including ordering) for two labs and will rotate on-campus location throughout the week.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in STEM fieldPerforms laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.
