Laboratory Research Technician IV

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Research Technician IV for the Schwerdt laboratory in the Department of Bioengineering. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the operational functions of data analysis and computational programming for high density dopamine recording and neurophysiological experiments.

Incumbent will have the responsibility of processing data collected daily from neurophysiological experiments, analyzing dopamine, electrophysiological, and behavioral data, and assisting in the design of recording tasks. Incumbent will also coordinate interdisciplinary research projects and assist in fabricating dopamine recording sensors and circuits.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience processing and analyzing high density dopamine and neurophysiological data and designing behavioral tasks and fabricating microscale neurochemical sensors.

Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments. Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares reports. Maintains inventory, ordering, and logs. Writes manuscripts and grant proposals and prepares data visualizations.
