Your ‘day to day’

 

As a Laboratory Scientist Automation, you will run well-defined technical methodologies and work procedures on various automated systems to perform biological analysis to support the department. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing automated laboratory workflows by using in-house available instruments or suggesting new acquisitions, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our testing/research processes. When required, you will also support equipment and process validation, and write related quality and scientific documents. You will also suggest improvements for methodologies, processes, systems and/or equipment, maintain and troubleshoot equipment

 

More specifically, you'll

 

Independently run laboratory activities, using established automated laboratory workflows to generate accurate data to support routine tasks, special projects and/or proficiency studies following established protocols. Train other laboratory personnel on existing processes, equipment.Ensure development and optimization, stay updated with the latest scientific advancements on both scientific findings and techniques. Proactively interact with teams and suggest technical improvements and/or new solutions within the field of expertise. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement automated laboratory workflows and protocols. Provide technical expertise and be able to work cross-functionally to interface automation platforms with Laboratory Instrument Management System (LIMS). Provide sound knowledge in the operational, functional and maintenance of laboratory equipment management as per established procedures or supplier recommendations. Act as specialist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to lab automation instruments and software. Actively initiate investigations, problem-solving, and troubleshooting methodologies in case of aberrant run. Support qualification and validation activities through collaboration with qualification/validation engineers and validation leads for the validation of computerized systems. Ensure equipment is qualified or validated and that the required documentation is prepared accordingly. This includes the drafting and review of various documents such as: User Requirements and Systems Specifications, - IQ/OQ/PQ/UAT test scripts and reports, traceability matrices, SOPs/WKIs/User Guides/training material/supporting documentation and Deviations. Proactively contribute to efficient change management processes.Support data management, ensure that knowledge management is performed via data compilation, review, and storage in line with Company, FDA or any other equivalent accreditation authority requirements (GLP and/or ISO17025) as per business request.Carry out all the team's activities ensuring that PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood. Implement adequate processes to ensure the confidentiality of information. 

 

Who we’re looking for

 

Master's Degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering), or equivalent experience and skills.Demonstrated experience with laboratory automation systems and high-throughput workflows (Biosero GBG and Biomek software would be an advantage).Knowledge in laboratory instrument qualification and validation procedures.Experience in laboratory instrument management.Knowledge of assay development and optimization.Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment in compliance with quality standards (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO).Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Experience with various in vitro test systems and methodologies.Experience in BLS-2 laboratory.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Technical skills in programming and scripting languages (e.g., C#, VB, Python, R) is a strong plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to work independently and with team. Agility, ability to embrace challenges, and adapt to work on several projects simultaneously.Good MS Office skills and experience with LIMS.Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required; knowledge of French is an advantage.
