Oldsmar, FL (Calgaz) - Industrial spec gasHow will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?To work with the Facility Manager, Production and Shipping managers to ensure all manufactured goods are finished, tested and quality checked in line with agreed service levels both in the US, UK and international export market, ensuring all relevant legislation is adhered to, customer service level agreements are achieved and costs are kept to a minimum where possible along with good disciplines of Time and Attendance, Profitability, Training and Health and Safety, whilst driving continuous improvement in terms of quality of produt, efficiency and employee availability.Ensure all legal documentation is produced in line with current legislation.

Working efficiently while maintaining health and safety rules plus quality standards, ensuring companies strict production deadlines and delivery targets are met.
Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment are maintained in alignment with local preventative maintenance schedules. Report any laboratory equipment malfunction and organize repair with appropriate maintenance departments or manufacturers.
Perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to enable decisions to be made on the conformity to specification of raw materials, intermediate and final products.
Carry out routine analytical tasks accurately and safely by following procedures and work instructions for preparing and analyzing samples.
Monitor the quality of measurement by the use of calibrated and/or internal reference standards.
Ensure that the laboratory is stocked with certified reference standards, equipment spares and ancillary resources so as to be able to achieve the requirements for testing while guaranteeing the quality of the measurements carried out.
Carry out the Quality Control (QC) check on finished products according to the agreed QMS procedures and work Instructions.
Record all test results obtained and interpret results to make the decision of the conformity to the specification of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
Ensure all knowledge relating to legislation from all governing tax bodies is kept up to date.
General laboratory administration duties as necessary
Convey to Management on all laboratory and testing related matters as necessary.
Follow special instructions from customer order requirements, getting to know all the major customers.
Keeping a clean work environment at all times Which includes keeping the Laboratory and facility tidy and safe at all times.
Understand SAP processing.
Hold regular team meeting ensuring all business information is communicated effectively.
Ensure work place inspections are carried out and reported to your manager and other shift leaders.
Supervise all Laboratory Personnel in a flexible and efficient manner to ensure orders and tested on time as required
Carry out regular toolbox talks as required but as a minimum weekly
Work with your manager to ensure that all employees workloads are planned, prioritized, monitored and organized.
Work with your manager to ensure all Laboratory personnel are flexible in work routines by encouraging training, development and achievement of higher skill level
Work with your manager to ensure all Laboratory employees maintain good levels of personal discipline in line with Company policies and procedures.
Work with your manager to ensure capacity planning is efficient to accommodate holidays for the Laboratory while agreeing overtime to ensuring that it is cost efficient
Work with your manager to ensure all Laboratory employees maintain the required levels of Health and Safety adhering to company working policy.
Set and monitor Laboratory targets in conjunction with your manager in line with the organizations strategies
Problem solving from an operational and customer point of view ensuring that your own initiative is used where possible and escalating where necessary.
Communicate any issues to senior management and operational departments as necessary.
Continuous self-development in line with the companies’ skills matrix.
Ensure all health and safety is adhered to at all times and all PPE is fit for purpose
Enforce the quality management through the use of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality management system

Strong analytical skills and vision to forecast and implement most successful course of action for the company in a highly competitive environment
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent
Knowledge of Laboratory systems including testing and calibration equipment, and similar equipment
ISO-9000 series knowledge preferred
ISO-17025 series knowledge preferred
Ability to work in and promote a team environment
Process and product knowledge of equipment and services
Computer skills/PC package experience, including word processing and data base software applications
Ability to supervise employees while following all established policies and procedures
The ability to regularly stand for long periods of time, walk, and sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Required to have good communication skills.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
