**Laboratory Supervisor (Lab Technician 4) - 2nd shift - 35**
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Supervisor (Lab Technician 4) to oversee our laboratory operations and ensure all testing procedures are carried out efficiently and accurately. The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of lab technicians, conducting quality control checks, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
**Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of experience with laboratory testing of construction materials.
+ 1+ year of experience in a supervisory roles (preferred)
+ Ability to pass drug and MVR screen.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Associate’s degree or Higher in Construction Technology, Construction Management or Related Engineering Field (preferred)
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
+ Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
+ Able to use a company laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
+ Organization and multi-tasking ability.
+ A decent work ethic, diligence, and elevated level of personal integrity.
+ 2nd shift. Hours will be from 3pm-11pm.
+ ACI Strength Testing Technician certification preferred (or the ability to obtain within 6 months).
**Technical Requirements:**
+ American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certifications:
+ Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 1 or Concrete Strength Testing Technician (Required)
+ Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 2
+ Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1 or 2
+ Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1
+ National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET):
+ Construction Materials Testing: Asphalt, Concrete, (Levels I, II, or III)
**Responsibilities**
+ 2nd shift. Hours will be from 3pm-11pm.
+ Supervise and coordinate the work of laboratory staff.
+ Oversee testing procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
+ Perform quality control checks on testing processes and results.
+ Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
+ Train new lab technicians on procedures and protocols.
+ Analyze data, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
+ Communicate with other departments regarding testing results and procedures.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations.
