Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Laboratory Technical Assistant for Psychology department within the School of Arts & Sciences.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Conducts research using preclinical models of substance use disorders with a specific emphasis on how stressors such as chronic pain might drive changes in the brain. As a part of this, we have been working to examine the contributions of specific receptors as we try to identify better treatment strategies. Runs behavioral experiments in rodents, helping with the histological processing for brain tissue, and providing other general kinds of laboratory support.
