Cook Campus, is one of the largest schools of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We pursue excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in areas of study that address the biological spectrum from molecules to ecosystems. Our emphasis is on both the fundamental sciences and the social and human dimensions. Students also have access to a robust program of applied research and outreach hosted by the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station laboratories, farms, business incubators, and marine stations throughout the state.  Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory Technical Assistant Seasonal for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Under general guidance and direction, provides basic level laboratory and/or technical support duties involving the application of scientific research methods and techniques.

Among the key duties of the position are the following: Performs multistage purifications, other assays, and tests. Propagates specimens and cell cultures. Prepares tissues and chemicals for testing and performs related duties as assigned. Prepares liposomes by sonication and by filtration. Quantifies fluorescent images using high resolution microscopy and image analysis. Quantifies phosphate levels using biochemical and spectroscopic methods. Maintains cell culture facility. Performs other technical support duties in discipline. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week 35 Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
