Our Client, a Coatings and Paints company, is looking for a Laboratory Technician for their Cheswick, PA location. Responsibilities: + Responsible for accurately matching colors for various products and ensuring consistency in color quality. + Primary duties will include preparing color samples, conducting color tests, and adjusting formulas to achieve desired color specifications. + Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, troubleshooting color-related issues, and collaborating with other team members to meet production goals. + Color matching in tint base formulas and scratch batch formulas. + Set up, adjusts, calibrates, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such mixers, automatic tint dispensers, viscometers, spectrophotometer, and other equipment. + Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications. + Record test results in our computer operating system. + Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints. + Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications. + Perform quality audits of laboratory instructions to ensure compliance to our Quality Policy. Requirements: + 1+ years of experience + Associate’s degree or higher from a Two (2) year accredited college or technical school; or two (2) years related training. + Possess ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
