Laboratory Technician
+ Gather petroleum product samples from storage tanks, vehicles, and other sources for analysis + Perform physical and chemical tests on fuel samples using specialized equipment to evaluate quality parameters (viscosity, flash point, contaminant levels) + Interpret test results and identifying potential issues with fuel quality, making recommendations for corrective actions + Adhere strictly to safety procedures when handling volatile petroleum products, including proper use of personal protective equipment + Maintain accurate records of test results and ensuring compliance with military standards for fuel quality + Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. + Basic chemistry and physics knowledge + Ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols + Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection + Analytical skills to interpret test results + Strong safety awareness and practices + Capability to be certified as a Laboratory Technician IAW CFR 49 100-149 + Must obtain Ammo-62 (Transportation of Hazardous Materials) certification within first 90 days of employment + Possess a valid driver’s license + Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. + May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. + May require travel + Applicant must have excellent customer service skills. + Maintain property accountability of all hand receipts items in Fuel Laboratory. **Other Responsibilities:** **Safety** - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
