Our core values (https://www.albemarle.com/about/our-values) are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet. **Job Description** **The Role** Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for ensuring that analytical activities and associated tasks are conducted in a safe, professional, timely manner and in accordance with required policies and procedures. **What You Will Do:** + Organising assigned tasks to maximise laboratory efficiencies + Managing and preparing samples for analysis + Undertaking analyses with various analytical equipment and instrumentation as required + Participating cooperatively in a team environment + Identifying anomalies in analytical results, sample type and assisting with the investigations of non-conformances + Performing required housekeeping duties + Undertaking calibration and maintenance of equipment, consumables stock inventory control and assisting with other duties as required **What You bring:** + Computer literacy (MS Office) + Ability to work under pressure and multi-task + Function in and support team members + Good organizational, communication and time management skills + Quality focused with a high attention to detail **It’d be great if you also had:** + Previous laboratory experience and/or experience in sample preparation, ICP-AES, GF-AAS, PSD and classical techniques is desirable and will be remunerated accordingly. **Education/ Qualification Requirements** + A qualification/certificate in a scientific or related discipline - desirable **Benefits of Joining Albemarle** + Competitive compensation + Comprehensive benefits package + A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.
