Laboratory Technician
Job Title: Laboratory Technician Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician with a strong practical knowledge in the chemical industry. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a team. The ideal candidate will have a 'can-do' attitude and leadership capabilities. Responsibilities + Sample and process materials through refining processes for the precipitation of precious metal recyclables. + Perform general lab tests, including analytical and wet chemistry testing. + Lead a small group of coworkers, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively. + Collaborate with R&D on projects and complete tasks within specific timelines. + Maintain strong attention to detail while following work procedures (ACRPs). + Communicate effectively with customers on a daily basis. + Work under ISO 9001-2008 regulations. + Eventually supervise technicians and manage the day-to-day flow of job orders, prioritizing and scheduling batches to increase refinery efficiency. Essential Skills + Proven laboratory testing experience. + Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to determine the root cause of process issues. + Quality-focused mindset, ensuring tasks are completed correctly every time. + Familiarity with ISO 9000/ISO regulations. + Excellent communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Biotech Certification or Associates Degree in the Sciences (or equivalent experience). + Open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in the Sciences. + Experience in the chemical industry, particularly in plating, refinery, or metals. + Fire assay testing experience is a plus, but not required. Work Environment The work environment features a rotating shift schedule: one month, employees will work Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and the following month, they will work Friday to Monday during the same hours, including weekends. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
