The technologies have been tested across multiple and diverse flue gases from industrial processes, to ensure reliability and efficiency in a wide range of industry segments. Today, we lead many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. The SLB Capturi US team is seeking a highly qualified **Laboratory Technician / Chemist.** In this exciting role, you will be responsible for performing and reporting on laboratory activities related to the development and testing of innovative and differentiating chemical solutions for carbon capture. **Roles and Responsibilities:** + Build prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing. + Design testing procedures and perform tests. Conduct tests, document test results and develop client presentation. May present solutions to stakeholders. + Create and maintain product documentation (requirements, specification, design, development, integration, test procedures and results) following in compliance with Concurrent Lifecycle Management of projects and activities. + Continually evaluate risks to produce and iterate the development plans. + Learn new skills and adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and low-cost products that maintain Schlumberger's technical leadership position. + Contribute to design standards and support design re-use (best practices, etc.). + Share expertise via Eureka and SIGs and expand the informal network throughout the organization: field, research, engineering, manufacturing, other domains and clients. + Maintain familiarity with Company technology, organization and business. Understand and provide technical solutions according to SLB Capturi strategy. + Complies with applicable company policies', including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures. + Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving). **Qualifications and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering.Lower education with equivalent laboratory technician / chemist experience may be considered. + Minimum 10 years of progressive experience as a laboratory technician/ Chemist. + Previous experience designing and conducting lab experiments is required. + Knowledge & experience of equipment and procedures related to fluid analysis and gas analysis are required. + Knowledge & experience of the safety protocols in a chemical lab environment are required. + Previous experience and research acumen for patent writing and application is a plus. + Ability to work in a cross functional team and coordinate quality activities among multiple stakeholders. + Attention to details and critical analysis. + Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. + A self-starter that demonstrates a positive outlook and contributes to working in multicultural and multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. + Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship. .
