The anticipated wage for this position is between $22-25 hourly. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
**Department/Team Overview**
Join our client’s innovative **Radiology Device R&D Systems Engineering** team, where they focus on requirements development, risk management, reliability, and verification/validation for cutting-edge radiology devices. This pipeline is for Laboratory Technicians who will support R&D Microbiology and Particulate laboratory testing and maintenance needs, contributing to vital advancements in healthcare technology.
**Position Overview**
As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine testing, prepare samples, and support cleaning and microbial validation studies. This role also involves preventive maintenance, calibration, and validation for lab equipment. Operating under general direction, you’ll make independent decisions and ensure high-quality results across laboratory processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare samples for:
+ Microbiological Testing
+ Sub-visible Particulate Testing
+ Support disinfection and cleaning validation studies with BSL2 microorganisms.
+ Conduct microbial ingress testing and sub-visible particulate testing.
+ Perform microbiological and particulate processing using vacuum filtration.
+ Daily duties include:
+ Equipment and Environmental Monitoring
+ Water Purification System Maintenance
+ Material and Glassware Preparation
+ Review and archive laboratory records
**Qualifications**
+ **Minimum Education** : Associate's Degree in science, engineering, or a related discipline, or completion of a 2-year trade/military program with 5 years of laboratory experience.
+ **Preferred Education** : Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering with 1-2 years of microbiology or chemistry lab experience.
+ **Technical Skills** : Strong working knowledge of PC systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and established laboratory procedures.
+ **Competencies** : Able to work independently, meet objectives with minimal direction, and maintain meticulous attention to detail in a laboratory setting.
**Preferred Experience**
+ Microbiological and particulate test method development and validation.
+ Experience with purified water systems (design and operation).
+ Skilled in wet-lab procedures (pipetting, sample handling, waste management).

**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
