Position Summary The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) and the Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering (IQ) at Michigan State University are seeking a Laboratory Technologist. The Department of BME offers an exciting and unique environment for performing state-of-the-art biomedical research with top scientists in the field. The Aguirre lab research goals focus on discovering and developing novel therapeutic strategies for promoting cardiovascular regeneration and treating cardiovascular disorders. Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which generally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a related science field such as biochemistry, cell biology, human medicine, or related biomedical field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in basic laboratory techniques; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Qualifications Familiarity with cell culture and hiPSC work.
