Position/Description Summary Location: Sacramento, CA As an emergency response and rapid services contractor to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, this role will work to contain and remove hazardous materials from the environment under varied site conditions. Work site activities may also include demolition, soil excavation, dredging and site restoration. Skills and Experience: + Perform physical labor on job sites handling hazardous materials in bulk, drums and small containers + Operation of power tools and small equipment + Work requires ability to work overtime, extended travel and timely response to emergency situations + Must be capable of physical manual labor using shovels, rakes and brooms + Requires working outdoors in the weather elements under adverse conditions at times + Company will provide personal protective equipment (PPE) + Must hold a 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate and 8 hour refresher + Recommended but not required completion of a 10 OSHA Construction Safety course and be able to present a certificate of compliance + Must have a High School diploma/GED minimum.
