Pipe crew Tail-man's duties:

Pipe Crew  Tail Man's  primary function   is to support the Pipe layer with the installation of sanitary, storm and water pipe. This position  involves  a broad array of manual labor and material  handling. The tail man must be familiar with the duties of the crew they are working with as well as the materials, tools, and machinery.

•     Assisting the Pipelayer - You'll be helping  in the trench, checking the grade, and following other instructions to support the  Pipelayer in  laying the pipe.

•    Training & Growing in the Trade - you'll be receiving training constantly  and will

be expected to continue to grow in your knowledge and skills  in  pipelaying.

•    Install and assemble underground  sewer, water, reclaim, force main, and storm drainpipe.

•    Measure and mark pipe for cutting.

•    Must have reliable transportation.

•  Always enforce safety requirements

Pipe crew Hill Man's duties:

•     Training & Growing in the Trade - you'll be receiving training constantly and will be expected to continue to grow in your knowledge and skills in pipelaying.

•  Prepare pipe for installation  including beveling.

•    Safely rig pipe and structures  for lifting and placement  in ditch.

•    Communicate effectively with Pipe Foreman  and crew members.

•    Measure and mark pipe for cutting.

•    Understand and  participate in  planning the production schedule.

•    Must have reliable transportation.

•  Always enforce safety requirements
